Overview
GLP-1 medications (semaglutide, tirzepatide) are the most effective weight-loss tools we've had in a generation — when prescribed correctly. The problem is the rest of the equation: most online clinics ship the medication and leave you to figure out side effects, muscle loss, plateaus, and maintenance on your own.
Our medical weight-loss program is physician-managed end-to-end. We run baseline labs, screen for contraindications, titrate slowly to find your minimum effective dose, and protect lean muscle with protein and resistance training guidance.
We plan for the long arc — losing the weight, holding it, and stepping off the medication when you and your physician decide together.
Benefits
- Steady, sustainable weight loss (1–2 lb/week typical)
- Significant appetite and food-noise reduction
- Improved A1c, lipids, blood pressure
- Protected lean muscle with structured nutrition guidance
- Long-term maintenance plan, not a forever prescription
Who it's for
- BMI 27+ with at least one metabolic risk factor, or BMI 30+
- Patients who have plateaued on traditional weight-loss approaches
- Pre-diabetic or insulin-resistant patients
- Patients wanting physician oversight, not a mail-order pharmacy
How it works
- 1
Screening + labs
CMP, lipid, A1c, thyroid, pancreatic and liver markers — we screen for contraindications before prescribing.
- 2
Slow titration
We start at the lowest dose and increase only as tolerated to minimize side effects.
- 3
Monthly check-ins
Weight, body composition, side effects, food intake, and labs reviewed every visit.
- 4
Maintenance plan
Once at goal, we shift to the lowest effective maintenance dose or taper off.
What to expect
Most patients lose 1–2 lb/week and 12–20% of body weight over 6–12 months. Side effects (nausea, reflux, constipation) are common in the first weeks and managed with slow titration and supportive medication.
Downtime
None. Weekly self-administered injection.
FAQs
Will I have to take this forever?+
Not necessarily. Many patients taper to a lower maintenance dose or off the medication entirely once goal weight is held with lifestyle.
What about muscle loss?+
A real risk on GLP-1s without protein and resistance training. We coach both from day one and track body composition, not just scale weight.
Is it covered by insurance?+
Compounded semaglutide/tirzepatide is self-pay. Brand-name (Wegovy®, Zepbound®) may be partially covered depending on plan.
